Catherine Steers, MA, LPC, NCC
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, I take an eclectic approach to treatment, tailoring each session to the unique needs of my clients. I believe in meeting clients where they are, fostering a collaborative and non-judgmental environment that encourages growth and healing. My goal is to support individuals in overcoming life’s challenges and achieving a sense of well-being, using a blend of therapeutic techniques to guide the process.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which allows me to help clients develop coping skills, manage intense emotions, and build resilience in the face of adversity. With a foundation in psychodynamic therapy, I work with clients to explore the unconscious factors that may be influencing their current thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. This helps deepen understanding and promotes long-term change.
I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, navigating a significant life transition, or seeking to process past experiences, I offer compassionate support to help you move forward. My approach is flexible, warm, and designed to empower you to find balance and healing in your life.
