She is a student in (kathy's practice), works with adolescents and adults of Northern NJ. Through my work I am committed to helping people overcome depression, anxiety, OCD and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives.

I believe that healing is a collective effort that requires honest care without judgement and I sustainably assist my clients to clarify their goals for treatment. In the therapeutic practice, I am an open-minded individual, warm, encouraging, empathetic and direct.I consider myself an active therapist, combining a  theoretical perspective, experience, education, creativity, and use sense of humor with down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.

Ms. Latorre is eclectic and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Reality Based, and psycho-education to individuals. A holistic approach is utilized by exploring with and educating clients about how mind, spirit and body are interconnected. Her theory is that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change.

My early and current experience was that of mental health services for about five years in an outpatient clinic in Paterson, NJ. I have experienced first hand interaction with a diverse population consisting of: low-income families, backgrounds, races, sexual orientation among adolescents, parents, and children that all encounter different types of behavioral health needs. I'm a bilingual individual who speaks Spanish fluently, as I came from Peru, my native country at a young age.
